My 2017 Bookish & Blogging Life

This is "another division" of the end of year survey that can be found over at The Perpetual Pageturner. Today I'm answering Jaimie's questions about my blogging and bookish life for the year gone by.

Hope you like it :)

1: Best new book blog you discovered in 2017?
Problem 1: I can't choose!
Problem 2: I can't remember which blogs I discovered this year and which ones are actually discoveries from last year. #help
But......I think Erica Robyn Reads and Lauren's Crammed Bookshelf are new-to-me blogs from this year, and so I'll go with those two :) They're amazing!

2. Best discussion/non-review post you had on your blog?
I wrote Abuse is Being Romanticised with every inch of my being, my soul, my heart. It's a topic I've wanted to write about many times, but until now had never got round to it. I'm proud of it :)

3. Best event that you participated in (author signings, festivals, virtual events, memes, etc.)?
Earlier in the year I participated in the blog tour for Cecelia Ahern's Perfect, and got a free copy of the book from HarperCollins in exchange for a review. That was an incredible moment for me because I did not expect it. And because Ahern is one of my favourite authors ever.

4. Best moment of bookish/blogging life in 2017?
Help I don't know.

But I guess I could say it's whenever I interact with other bloggers and writers and readers; whether it be on blogs or on Twitter or Instagram. I love you guys <3

5. Most challenging thing about blogging or your reading life this year?
Time. The last few months of the year were very busy for me, and I struggled with blogging, reading, and life in general. Writing blog posts and keeping up with blog hopping became so much harder.

6. Most Popular Post This Year On Your Blog (whether it be by comments or views)?
Wow. When I checked my stats to answer this question, the answer was a huge surprise. The post of the year with the most views is my review of The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. Didn't expect that!

7. Post You Wished Got A Little More Love?
I'd love for even more people to check out my Abuse is Being Romanticised post :) #shamelessselfpromo

8. Best bookish discover (book related sites, book stores, etc.)?
Just off the top of my head, the discovery of the Minx Lit boxes was really exciting. Of course, I can't actually afford to subscribe and order a box for myself, but I love the whole idea, passion, and thoughtfulness behind the boxes and how they aim to empower and inspire women. Definitely go check them out!

9.  Did you complete any reading challenges or goals that you had set for yourself at the beginning of this year?
Not so much reading accomplishments (I ended up editing my GR challenge like three times so I could say I accomplished it ;), but there are definitely other things I'm proud to say I did. Check out my 2017 Resolutions to see what my goals were for the 2017 year.
- I participated in and exceeded my goal for NaNoWriMo despite being sick the first week and struggling with life stuff throughout November.
- I went way out of my comfort zone and went on a youth camp for a week.  It didn't go great, but in retrospect I'm glad I did it. And I met some new friends.
- I've been "less shy" on the internet; case in point my Abuse is Being Romanticised post. I was terrified to publish it, but I'm glad I did.

What's been your most challenging blogging experience this year? What have you accomplished? What's one 2017 post you're incredibly proud of?
