Weekly Round-Up: Reading and Watching

I had a good week and a busy weekend. Yesterday my dad and I spent the whole morning at a local market, selling toys and movies and bits and pieces we're trying to get rid of. Well, I sat in the hot sun and got sun-burnt and sold the stuff, and he wandered round looking at the other stalls......
But it was good. I managed to sell some of my old books and movies I no longer wanted, which means, of course, that I can now buy more books and movies. Yay!

In the evening it was my uncle's 60th, so we went out for supper with family and had lovely food *drools*  And back at their house afterwards, we had ice-cream :) Mine was creme brulee caramel coated with chocolate.

Posts of the week:

Book Review: Flawed
What Being a Feminist Means For Me
Waiting on Wednesday #23
Book Review: Three Dark Crowns
The Blog Squad - Part 4
Movie Review: The Magnificent Seven

I bought some book photo props this week: candles and flowers, which will be my photo "theme" from now on. I've still got a lot of improving to do when it comes to taking photos, so please bear with me!
I received Can't Buy Forever in the mail, and I'm so excited to start it.

I'm really enjoying The Helper :)

How's your week been? Seen any good movies or read any good books?

  1. Sounds like a busy weekend! It's been a decent week overall with lots of reading but I've kind of hit the wall on my latest read and I'm not sure if I'm going to finish it at this rate. That's frustrating when I loved the first book in this trilogy but book two has a different format and countless new characters, jumping forwards years at a time with each switch of scene. GAH!

Yay I'm so glad :) Sorry about that read though; it is so annoying when that happens. Especially if you loved the first book! Hope it improves :)

  8. Nice job with the sales! I haven't watched a movie in a looong time, though of course I've read some books in more recent times. :D Short and sweet hauls are sometimes the best! I hope you enjoy the books!

  10. Uhh, that ice cream you ate sounds delicious!
Ohh, I wish we got that marked where I could sell my old books and stuff I don't need.
I got rid of 43 books last week, and it would be nice to get some money for them in return, tbh.
